Austin has worked in a variety of organizational models and cultures, ranging from US development non-profits to Chinese SOEs and Ugandan social enterprises. Having worked and volunteered his time among such differing organizational environments, he knows that no two groups have the same needs and desired outcomes. Therefore, the best project solutions are organization-specific and clearly specified. It makes sense then that his passions lie in data and organizational development.
He can usually be found wandering the mountains most seasons in his free time and skiing the rest. He is also fluent in French with a smattering of other linguistic basics picked up from wherever he has been.
Austin holds a bachelor’s in International Political Economy and a minor in Economics from the University of Puget Sound.
