Senning Luk has extensive experience building effective, modern web solutions for non-profits. Senning specializes in projects combining CRMs, CMSs and third-party services to deliver technology which delivers on the promise of strong design and strategy. Before joining Zuri Group, Senning was the lead developer at Grassriots where he pioneered integration of WordPress with Engaging Networks. Notable successes include improving the advocacy experience for campaigners at Walk Free and providing a strong foundation for Kids Help Phone’s peer fundraising. He also led development on delivering responsive, donor-optimized experiences for Engaging Networks and Luminate, and integrating Google Analytics and Google Content Experiments to evolve fundraising and advocacy programs for clients including Humane Society International, Amnesty International Canada, and Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres.
Senning is driven to work in the non-profit and advocacy space due to his deep belief in the good work done by clients in the sector. This commitment is informed by his formal education in Environmental Studies and Urban Studies, and personal experience of the loss of close family to stroke and cancer. An enthusiastic technologist, Senning works with Git, Sass, Grunt, and Webpack to improve development processes; heavily uses Browserstack and Litmus to ensure quality for all users; and has also used Amazon Web Services (Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB and CloudFront), node.js, and React/React Native to deliver innovative solutions.
