Virtual Event & Fundraiser

Mercy Home for Boys & Girls

Individual Accountability for a Unified Goal

First, we formulated an event strategy that merged Mercy Home’s logistical needs with an engaging program for their audience. Then, we boosted excitement and increased attendance with an email marketing plan to encourage individual impact via sharing and donating.

Mercy Home’s First Virtual Gala

For years, Mercy Home for Boys & Girls relied on an annual graduation gala as a keystone fundraiser to support their mission. When COVID-19 cancelled their in-person Graduation Luncheon Gala, they needed to transition it to a virtual event. And they had less than three months to pull it off. So, they called on us to start planning.

In just a few short months, we designed and built a custom virtual event experience on Engaging Networks that hosted 800 attendees and raised $115,000 in just over an hour. And, despite tuning in from home, key supporters enjoyed an exclusive, table-like experience via peer-to-peer fundraising webpages that acted as virtual luncheon “tables.” Table Captains invited their network to join the event using unique links that enabled chat features and donation tracking for each table. This offered attendees a sense of unity, and it also raised competition between tables.

Using the power of the Engaging Networks systems, we partnered to:

Virtual event table

Built P2P webpages as virtual tables to increase competition between “tables” which prompted more donations

Virtual event donation

Feature the donation form on the main page of the event website so supporters could donate right then and there

Virtual event engagement

Boost engagement and participation with chat features and dedicated spaces for event announcements

Zuri Group Responsive Design

Embed the livestream with a screen scroll so viewers could stay tuned in to the event while exploring the P2P wepage

Showcase a real-time revenue thermometer to track overall amount raised

We are honored to guide Mercy Home through their first virtual event so they can continue helping kids learn all the necessary skills they need to succeed in school and in life.
