Volunteer Prospecting

Wake Forest University

One Size Does Not Fit All

Wake Forest University’s (WFU) Development and Alumni Teams saw an opportunity to enlist alumni volunteers to leverage relationships to grow fundraising efforts. Volunteer fundraising is not new, but is usually difficult to facilitate and manage because of technology challenges.

Alumni Volunteer Fundraising requires sharing secure information with volunteers, assigning fundraising opportunities, and managing those fundraising activities. WFU realized that out-of-the-box technology solutions would not meet these needs.

Seamless Integration

Zuri Group developed a Volunteer module embedded in WFU’s Alumni Directory that is seamlessly integrated between the back-end database (Blackbaud CRM) and web interface (Blackbaud Internet Solutions). The integration keeps both staff and volunteers up to date with any changes or fundraising activity.

Zuri Group also helped WFU customize their Alumni Directory using BBIS and BBCRM, and is WFU’s partner of choice for these types of customizations.

One system of record

Integrated volunteer fundraising through easy access to information, real-time updates, and consolidated management and reports

Volunteers have the ability to search for classmates and request fundraising assignments

Volunteer Module that allows volunteers to access information from the CRM and record prospect interaction

WFU Staff can manage volunteers, assignments, and prospects directly in CRM

We are proud to be a trusted technology partner to Wake Forest University, helping their Development and Alumni teams leverage technology in support of their fundraising efforts.
