Giving Tuesday

The Problem

Mercy Home had developed their own custom solution for peer-to-peer and online fundraising campaigns but it was becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with new technology requirements and maintain the system. They had tried a basic, not customized platform for their 2015 Giving Tuesday campaign but needed a more sophisticated and user-friendly platform for 2016.

The Solution

With very little help from outside technical staff, Mercy Home created and customized a campaign on the new peer-to-peer module of the Engaging Networks platform. They found the back-end set up of the campaign intuitive and easy to use, which resulted in reduced staff time to produce a high-quality site.

The end-user experience was also simplified and included easy social sharing, a scrolling honor roll and the visual aid of the thermometer showing overall progress towards their fundraising goal.

The Result

With the streamlined campaign form and very little staff effort, Mercy Home more than doubled their funds received from the prior year campaign from $18,000 to over $50,000.

The Client

“Between the ability to customize the donation form with the thermometer to see our efforts, and how incredibly easy the campaign was to set up and manage, we had our best Giving Tuesday ever.”
