Blackbaud CRM Upgrade and Campaign Readiness

City of Hope needed to upgrade Blackbaud CRM to version 4. The leadership team used this as an opportunity to assess their business processes and technology to ensure they were “campaign ready.”

Zuri Group joined the City of Hope team, not only to upgrade Blackbaud CRM but to also improve processes and operations. The project included a focus on organizational structure, prospect pipeline management, and campaign planning. City of Hope needed a technology partner who understood fundraising operations as well as the technology. Additionally, Zuri Group was willing to work together to prepare City of Hope for a more efficient fundraising program.

City of Hope was on a version of Blackbaud CRM that would soon no longer be supported by Blackbaud. System adoption was low and so was the confidence in how Blackbaud CRM managed their day to day business.

The Solution

Blackbaud CRM Re-Implementation

City of Hope embraced a business process and technology assessment. This determined a need to re-implement Blackbaud CRM as opposed to just upgrading the system.

Zuri Group lead City of Hope through design sessions for each major functional area of the system. Zuri Group completed appropriate business process changes, system configurations, and custom solutions, which allowed City of Hope to fully realize the potential of Blackbaud CRM.

City of Hope launched a new version of Blackbaud CRM in under 18 months with higher user adoption and more confidence in how the system will support their business.

Staff is positioned to take advantage of every benefit of the technology and has a fully-optimized Blackbaud CRM implementation. Design sessions were complimented by full documentation, training, and user acceptance testing. As a result, staff is well educated and empowered to use Blackbaud CRM at a highly skilled level. The operation has gained efficiency, staff is pleased with the product, and leadership feels confident that City of Hope is well positioned to meet campaign goals.
